Rajarajeswaram also called Brihadishvara Temple or Peruvudaiyar Kovil, is a temple dedicated to Shiva located in South bank of Kaveri river in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the largest South Indian temples and an exemplary example of a fully realized Dravidian architecture.It is Built by Tamil king Raja Raja Chola I between 1003 and 1010 AD, the temple is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the
"Great Living Chola Temples", along with the Chola dynasty
GANGAIKONDACHOLISWARAM TEMPLE
Gangaikonda Cholapuram temple is a temple dedicated to Shiva in Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Jayankondam, in the South India of Tamil Nadu. Completed in 1035 AD by Rajendra Chola I as a part of his new capital, this Chola dynasty temple is similar in design, and has a similar name, as the older 11th century, Brihadeeswarar Temple about 70 kilometres ( to the southwest in Thanjavur). The GangaikondaCholapuram Temple is smaller yet more refined than the Thanjavur Temple. Both are among the largest Shiva temples in South India . The temple is also referred to in call as Gangaikonda Cholapuram or Gangaikondacholeeswaram Temple




Airavatesvara Temple
Airavatesvara Temple is a temple of Dravidian architecture located in the town of Darasuram, near Kumbakonam, Thanjavur
District in the South India of Tamil Nadu. This temple, built by Rajaraja Chola II in the 12th century .It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the Brihadeeswara Temple and Gangaikondacholisvaram Temple that are referred to as the Great Living Chola Temples.The Airavatesvarar temple is one among a cluster of eighteen medieval era large Hindu temples in the Kumbakonam




KampahAReswarar Temple
The Kampaheswarar Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple enshrines Kampaheswarar as the main deity, The temple was built by Kulottunga Chola III (1178-1216), to celebrate a victory. . The architecture of the temple resembles Brihadeshwarar Temple of Thanjavur,. The temple follows the Dravidian style of architecture. Similar to Brihadeswarar Temple, the vimana of the temple is extremely high compared to the Rajagopura. The 130 ft high tower (gopuram) of the sanctum. It is believed that the temple was the last holy place to have been built by the Chola Kings
